Big cast, long takes

My friend Amy directed me to a video that may be of interest to fellow UBC alumni: UBC LipDub.

In the spring of 2005, I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in International Relations and a general focus in the area of environmental politics. In the fall of 2005, I began reading for an M.Phil in IR at Wadham College, Oxford. Outside school, I am very interested in photography, writing, and the outdoors. I am writing this blog to keep in touch with friends and family around the world, provide a more personal view of graduate student life in Oxford, and pass on some lessons I've learned here.

  1. i absolutely adore stuff like this. Inclusive, positive, fun creativity. Congrats to everyone involved.

If drama club at Handsworth taught me anything, it was the importance of being part of things larger then yourself.

  2. That is indeed impressive although the music’s not my thing. I dug the monologue at the beginning. What’s lip dub?
    /confused, possibly too old

  3. So fun to watch – highlights the monologue in the beginning , the feeling of the first 7 minutes that it was was one continuous long camera shot, the energy.

  4. It looks like everyone had so much fun and it really lifted my spirits. Great show!
